Private lender Bank Danamon has expanded its digital banking ecosystem, so customers can now open a bank account online.

Its new app – D-Bank Registration – no longer requires customers to go to a bank branch to open an account, as identity verification can be done through an in-app video call.

Bank Danamon Vice President Michellina Laksmi Triwardhany said Bank Danamon was the first bank to offer online registration in the country.

“As people want things to be settled more conveniently, we have developed this new service to meet their needs to open their bank accounts with their smartphones,” she said when launching the app. at Danamon headquarters on Wednesday.

The launch also took place the same day in other major cities, including Surabaya, Medan, Makassar and Bandung.

Besides D-Bank registration, the bank has other apps such as D-Bank, which helps customers open digital savings accounts, and D-Wallet to settle payments for online and offline transactions. .
